Aviation Technical Consulting — Film & Television

Accuracy makes drama better.
Not smaller.

Real procedures are more frightening than invented ones. The audience can feel the difference even when it cannot name it.

Services

What the review covers

Each engagement is advisory — findings are organised by scene, with the technical issue alongside an accurate alternative that does the same dramatic work or more. The aim is never a smaller scene.

Script Review

A written report identifying aviation inaccuracies across a full draft or targeted sequence, with accurate alternatives supplied for each finding.

Storyboard & Cut Review

Visual continuity checked against the script and against the aircraft. Engine positions, instrument layouts, crew procedure — caught before the edit locks.

Written Q&A

Specific technical questions answered in writing, typically within two business days. Useful at any stage of production when the writers' room needs a fast ruling.

Remote Consultation

Audio-only consultation, scheduled in advance, for productions that need a pilot in the room before the table read.

Process

How an engagement works

Inquiry

Send the production title, a brief description of the aviation content, and the materials ready for review. A scoping reply follows within one business day.

Quote

A flat fee quoted against the scope, with turnaround and payment terms stated plainly. No retainers, no hourly ambiguity.

Agreement

A standard consulting agreement covering deliverables, confidentiality of your materials, and the identity-confidentiality arrangement that governs how this consultancy operates. Straightforward to sign.

Delivery

A written report, organised by scene. Findings, technical basis, accurate alternative. One follow-up Q&A round included.

Sample Work

Error breakdown series

Six productions examined in detail — what they got wrong, what they got right, and what the accurate version would have cost the drama.

Credentials

Who does this work

The consultancy operates anonymously. The work is credited to the brand, not the individual. That arrangement is covered in the standard agreement.

Active professional pilot. Thousands of hours. Multiple aircraft types. Extensive commercial aviation experience.

If your script puts anyone in a cockpit, a cabin, or a control tower, the technical pass costs less than the reshoot it prevents.

Send the production title and a brief description of the aviation content. Everything else follows from there.
